The Day After

Today I am tired. I got home around 2am and my body insisted I wake up around 7:30a. Some work with less, but I am a woman who needs her sleep. How do you keep momentum when good things are happening? The crash after a good thing can be hard if you don’t keep the engine running.

Here’s what I know: you let yourself enjoy it for a day or two. Recognize your success. Let it buoy you, and be grateful for it. Then get back to work. I recall Michael Ian Black calling success a selfie you take at the top of a mountain. You can’t sit on the mountain forever. Enjoy the view, and start moving again before you die of exposure.

So I’m up.
